As some of you may have read in the Maidenhead Advertiser, the Burnham Business Association (BBA) has re-launched! We are keen to reinvigorate the BBA and work together with all businesses in Burnham to promote the village in a positive way. If your business has any special promotions running and would like us to advertise on our new Facebook page, please email bba@burnhamvillage.co.uk

The association exists to represent businesses and residents in Burnham and to provide support, help and guidance. We take on the role of liaising with the Parish Council, District Council, County Council and local police as and when required.

We strive to achieve representation of all businesses as a whole, making a bigger impact than each acting on their own.

The committee meets bi-monthly with one AGM in May each year.

Highlights from our last meeting – 01/11/18

(You can read the minutes of the meeting by clicking here)

The Parish Council have asked as for our input into what the parishes new Economic Development Officers Role might be.

They have asked us to consider the following questions:

1. What would we like this person to do in regards to promoting the local business community?
2. What would a good outcome for the business community look like?
3. How would the BBA measure this Officers success?

We also had 2 representatives from South Bucks District Council Economic Development Team attend the meeting. They have extended the offer of their help and advice in dealing with District Council issues and controls. They are also going to provide us with a free Business Support Guide.

Please let us know if you would like a copy.

Finally, there were no representatives of the business community, other than the committee, at the meeting. We would welcome your support and/or feedback in regards to whether the business community feels this organisation is of value going forward.

With that in mind, can you please respond to bba@burnhamvillage.co.uk with

1. Your suggestion for next steps
2. Your willingness to become involved
3. Your feedback on the proposed Economic Development Officer Role
4. If suggestion includes further meeting, then proposed next date of meeting
5. Should you wish a copy of the Business Support Guide
