About the BBA
The association exists to represent businesses and residents in Burnham and to provide support, help and guidance. We take on the role of liaising with the Parish Council, District Council, County Council and local police as and when required.
We strive to achieve representation of all businesses as a whole, making a bigger impact than each acting on their own.
The committee meets bi-monthly with one AGM in May each year.
What is the BBA is and how your business might benefit?
The Association helps to organise a variety of events and projects throughout the year as well as the weekly Wednesday market, and regular Saturday music in the High Street, helping to build and maintain community spirit and support.
The BBA is solely responsible for ensuring Christmas lights adorn the High Street each year. We support the Lions Club of Burnham with the annual Christmas Fayre, which attracts hundreds of visitors into the High Street on the first Thursday in December.
The Association is currently working with the Parish Council, Land Securities Committee (LSC) and Martin Carter (Haymill Computers) to help build and promote digital Burnham. This includes an extensive re-branding project and growth of social media engagement via Twitter and Face book.
We are currently in talks with the Local Authorities about parking charges, road and pavement repairs, and the overall appearance of the High Street.
The Parish Council is helping to brighten up the village with hanging flower baskets.
The Association can only survive with your support. Our meetings are held bi-monthly at local business premises. These meetings are open to every Burnham business owner and resident who are members of the Association.
Regularly attending meetings gives members a voice within the community and an opportunity to contribute ideas. It is a vehicle for getting to know what is going on and what is in the pipeline for our village. Sharing ideas and advice and providing networking opportunities brings all the businesses and residents together.

BBA is a not for profit association and has no shareholders.
Annual membership subscription is £45 and all businesses are welcome and encouraged to join. The subscription contributes to the Association’s funds which from time to time are boosted by grants from the Parish Council and one off contributions from businesses. We also have income from the weekly Wednesday market rent..
The majority of our funds are put towards paying for the installation and maintenance of the Christmas lights but we also make funds available where possible to support other projects helping to promote local businesses and charities..
