SOUTH BUCKS DISTRICT COUNCIL – WASTE RECYCLING

Look Out for your New Calendar!
The 2015/16 Collection Calendar and Recycling Guide is now being delivered, properties in the East of the district should have received them week beginning 26th October and in the West week beginning 2nd November. The guide provides important information on how to use your containers, what to do with those tricky items and of course changes to collections over the Christmas period.

Changes and Closures to Recycling Bring Sites
A number of changes are being made to your local bring sites including the closure of the following six sites;
• M40 Services, Beaconsfield
• Neville Court Car Park, Burnham
• Taplow Train Station, Taplow
• Dumb Bell, Taplow
• Post Office Lane, Wexham
• South Buckinghamshire Golf Course, Stoke Poges

Unfortunately the materials collected from these sites are of very poor quality and/or quantity and it is no longer viable to keep them open. Residents are able to recycle all the same materials through either their household recycling collection service, at near-by recycling bring sites or Household Waste and Recycling Centre.

Other changes include;
• The very large containers previously used to collect paper and card have now been removed. Paper and card are no longer collected together and you should find separate banks for paper and mixed recycling at each bring site. Cardboard goes into the mixed recycling banks, please break down large boxes and remove all plastic or polystyrene packaging before placing into the containers.

• The small household electrical appliance banks that were at selected sites have now been removed. Residents can recycle small items through the household small electrical collection service and large electrical items through the bulky collection service or any electrical item can be taken to your nearest Household Waste and Recycling Centre.
